A family-owned and -operated orthodontic practice for more than 40 years, Hart Orthodontics has treated generations of families in the Woodbridge, Lake Ridge, and Dumfries communities. Dr. Patrick Hart, Dr. Sheamus Hart, and our fun-loving team make orthodontics enjoyable and relaxed. Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Sheamus Hart completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas in 2011. He was recognized for achievements in clinical research and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, receiving the OKU William S. Kramer Award of Excellence bestowed upon only one rising senior dental student. He continued his education in orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated in December of 2013. He received his Master of Science in Orthodontics focusing on the surgical management of patients undergoing orthodontic therapy.
Dr. Hart returned to the Woodbridge area, practicing since early 2014. He is a specialist in functional appliance therapy with experience in a variety of bracket types and systems to include 3M Clarity aligners and Light Force 3D printed brackets. Dr. Hart enjoys making the process of orthodontics fun for his patients and informative for their parents, allowing the parents to best understand the timing and progress of treatment.
Dr. Hart grew up attending St. Thomas Aquinas School in Woodbridge and Pope Paul VI High School in Fairfax. He attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania, receiving his Bachelor of Science in biology. Dr. Hart enjoys cycling, running, collecting and listening to music, and following Washington D.C. sports.
Dr. Hart is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Northern Virginia Orthodontic Society, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Virginia Dental Association.
Meet Our Staff
Hello, I am the Treatment Coordinator in our practice, and I'm glad to meet you! I enjoy building connections with our patients and working alongside such a talented doctor. Dr. Hart has never-ending patience and a wonderful sense of humor, which always makes our patients feel at ease. The best part of my job is seeing our patients at their final appointment, when the braces come off! I get to watch their eyes light up when they see their brand new smile, and it always makes my day. When I am not helping to create beautiful smiles, I am spending quality time with my husband and our three daughters.
As our practice manager, I make sure our office runs smoothly. I work hard to ensure that each patient and family member is happy and taken care of! I have been working in our office since 1985, and in the orthodontic field since 1969. Dr. Hart is great at providing a light-hearted and fun environment, while providing the highest quality orthodontic services available. He is a true perfectionist when it comes to his work, and it shows in our patients smiles! When I am not at work, I love spending time with my family, including four beautiful grandchildren!
As a front desk coordinator I truly enjoy greeting patients and family members as they come through the front door. It's a privilege to get to know patients on a personal level and build a relationship with them. One of the favorite parts of my job is working alongside the Hart Orthodontics staff each day and, over time, seeing the incredible transformation of our patient's smiles. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family (especially my granddaughter), all of our pets, and cheering on the DC sports teams.
Hello! I'm Wendy and I am an orthodontic assistant here at Hart Orthodontics. I enjoy working with patients of all ages. I love to help the patients gain the knowledge they need to have a great smile makeover. In my spare time I like to travel, bake and refinish furniture. I am a momma to 1 daughter and 4 boys.
